Cyclescreen kicks off (pedals off?!) on Thursday evening at 6.00 pm with a ‘visit’ to France – Graeme Fife will be giving a talk about the Tour de France followed by a triple bill of classic films about this enduring, and world famous bike race.

On Friday evening Rob Penn explores the cultural, scientific and historical relevance of the bicycle – after cycling 40,000 km around the globe in his 20s he seems well qualified to do so!

On the same evening at 8.00 pm you can see ‘one of the most eagerly anticiapted mountain bike films ever’ – Life Cycles, and then you can get active and join in the free Rollapaluza event in the bar at 9.00 pm.

That’s just for starters, there’s the rest of the weekend too including Cinekids Pedal Powered Cinema – for children 8 – 12 years of age on Saturday at 1.00 pm, more films at Watershed on Saturday and Sunday, while over in nearby Millennium Square on Saturday at 8.00 pm is the free premiere of BÖIKZMÖIND . Fixey fans – get down there!

For full programme details of all Cyclescreen events go to the Watershed website – then come along and join in!
