Media Literacy Workshops 2010

Storyboards produced by students during the Media Literacy Workshops in response to an excerpt from the 1974 film 'When We Were Kings' - the famous 'rumble in the jungle fight between Muhamed Ali and George Foreman. Igfest 09 - September 11th - 13th 2009

Hundreds of people joined in the weekend of fun at Igfest 09 in Britol to play games across the city. On Sunday morning, RELAYS funded some games for families - 'Free Bristol Monsters', '60sec zoo' and 'Tri-Catch' - you can see here what they found, made and did!

Be Active films screening day

Bristol University and the 2012 Relays Project have teamed up with Watershed and Bristol CYPS to deliver a programme that engages young people in sport and culture by enabling students to produce their own films.

Media Literacy Workshops

As part of the RELAYS project, Watershed ran a programme of sport-themed Media Literacy workshops for schools during June in conjunction with Bristol City Council’s Children and Young People’s services and the BBC. Each workshop was a day-long session held at Watershed and was attended by over 200 students from 5 Bristol schools.

Robot Relays

Robot Relays is a potential RELAYS project that through a series of workshops in schools would lead to an event combining robots, children and challenges. These photos are from an initial exploratory workshop day was held on 22nd April 2009 at the Pervasive Media Studio and in Millennium Square with the BBC providing access to the Live Site screen.

Bristol Festival of School Sport

TIm Crawley, eShed co-ordinator at Watershed, and Patrick Young, eShed member, worked with a group of Young Ambassadors and Media Students from Ashton Park School to film the Bristol Festival of School Sport at Combe Dingle Sports Complex in Bristol and they'll edit the material during a workshop session to be held at Watershed.
