Workshop

Please note: This event took place in Oct 2015

Join us for a half-term stop-motion animation workshop inspired by The Big Knights, a newly remastered collection of the best bits of the BBC children's series from the award-winning creators behind Peppa Pig. Be transported to the far off land of Boravia, where bellowing brothers Sir Boris and Sir Morris right wrongs, rescue princesses and woe betide anything that gets in their way! Voiced by Brian Blessed (Sir Morris) and David Rintoul (Sir Boris), the raucous exploits of The Big Knights are guaranteed to get you and your little ones chuckling.

At the workshop after the Sat 24 Oct screening at 11:00, you can design and illustrate your very own Big Knights character then bring it to life in glorious stop-motion with artist and animator Claire Evans from Bristol-based Small World Animations.

This is a family workshop and is suitable for both adults and children. Please note all children must be accompanied by an adult and vice versa.

This workshop is 90 minutes long.

Sign up for our monthly What’s on For Families email to hear about upcoming films and events.

What else is on this half term? Join us for Disney Pixar’s entertaining and emotionally-intelligent animation Inside Out (Fri 23 Oct - Sun 1 Nov at 13:00). Come and connect with the film's themes of love and positive mental health in a fun and playful way at our Inside Out-inspired Love Tea Dance with A Difference (Sun 1 Nov 15:00 - 17:30), with colourful, interactive games and activities suitable for all the family. This is a FREE event in the Café/Bar - drop-in for as long or as little as you like. Part of the Bristol Family Art Festival.
