A luminous lesbian romance begins in 1971 France when a young farm girl moves to Paris and becomes smitten with a charismatic radical feminist, only to discover that their love is not as easy, nor as accepted, when they return to the countryside.
It's 1971 and country girl Dephine (Izïa Higelin) moves to Paris to break free from the shackles of her family, where she meets metropolitan feminist activist Carole (Cécile de France), and the spark of attraction between them is undeniable. Their bliss is interrupted, however, when Delphine's father suffers a stroke and she must return to the family farm to assure its continued existence. But Carole insists on accompanying her lover, and the two must confront the ramifications of their forbidden relationship in a world all too slow to accept social change...
Both unabashedly sexy and utterly realistic and compelling, this is a beautiful, sensual film about two women in love - and the challenges they must face, together, that are beyond their control.
