About the Project

Shut your eyes for a moment, and consider what it is that makes Bristol so distinctive. What does it mean to live and work here? Where do you find Bristol's creative spirit? What gives it its buzz?

From Barton Hill to Bedminster, Knowle West to Eastville - Bristol is brimming with talent, ideas and energy. You see it in the visual arts, music, film, media and design, literature, theatre and dance, and also in other fields such as science, technology and engineering. Through Electric Pavilion and its associated projects, we invite local people and visitors from around the world to explore the diversity of Bristol and its cultural life.

Month by month during 2005 the chapters will unfold as both web presentations and a series of events and interventions in and around Bristol. Electric Pavilion is about creative participation and the project will feature a range of new writing, films, digital stories, music and artwork made by local people, companies and organisations.
