Pick of the Week: Cinderella Christmas Show
Discover what’s happening on the Rife Guide this week, including a spectacular re-imagining of the much-loved story of Cinderella.
Do you miss those days of younger years where you got to dress up and go to a Crimbo panto, shouting and cheering at everyone on stage? Well, fear not, for those days are not just a distant memory. Christmas pantomimes and plays are not only for five year olds – in fact, this Christmas Creative Youth Network brings you a spectacular re-imagining of the much-loved family story Cinderella.
“Ohhh no they haven’t!”
“Oh yes they have….”
It’s Christmas! It’s the countdown to the End of World Ball on New Years Eve. Everybody who’s anybody is going to be there. P Charmz and Cinderz work this modern retelling of the well-loved tale, where fame is everything and nothing, and the sheen of celebrity is dulled while the glow of love shines though. With performances from Bristol-based young actors and featuring live music from Temple Records’ artists, as well as dance and circus, Cinderella will warm your heart and challenge your mind.

Creative Youth Network inspire thousands of young people every year to take part in the creative arts, and inspire every young person to do more than they ever thought possible. They have loads of weekly sessions on offer for young people to try out. These are held at their base in Kingswood, or at The Station.
Cinderella isn’t the only event at The Station- there are so many to check out. You can create unique clothing at Fashion- Urban Arts Space, join in a weekly Film Making Course, or you can just head there for a Saturday chill– experience music, film and fancy dress. As with every session from Creative Youth Network, it’s run by professional youth workers. You can talk to them confidentially about anything, and they’ll give you as much support as they can.
Cinderella is happening every night this week, from Tuesday 15th to Saturday 19th. It starts at 7.30pm at The Station. Full priced tickets are £10 and concessions are £6…. But make sure you get them quick, they are selling out fast. Full details can be found here, on the Rife Guide.
