DepicT! Showcase + Filmmakers Q&A

DepicT! is Watershed's super-short filmmaking competition which asks filmmakers across the globe to show their stuff in just a minute and a half.

2012 was a landmark year for DepicT!, with a record number of 650 entries from 32 countries. This was whittled down to a shortlist of 15 films which stood out for their originality, imagination and ability to engage.

Another first for 2012 was the introduction of the DepicT! Random Acts Special Mention, which saw DepicT! team up with Channel 4 to give the shortlisted filmmakers a chance to win a slot on Random Acts, Channel 4’s short-form arts strand that airs every weeknight.

This event recording followed a screening of the 15 shortlisted films - which you can watch here - and featured a Q&A and panel with a selection of the shortlisted filmmakers.

The panel:

Graham Page, Atroxiter
Kevin L. Andrews, Blind Encounter
Cath Shackleton & Zane Whittingham, Fragile Stories
Scott Coello, Hey!
Anna Ginsberg, Living With Depression
Matthew King, Night Noises
Juci Szurdi, Pre-Set
