Angela Carter approached gothic storytelling from a Freudian and feminist perspective, re-interpreting the motivations behind well-known fables and fairy tales. The Company of Wolves is Carter's dark retelling of the classic fairytale Little Red Riding Hood, and was subsequently adapted into a feature-length film. Director Neil Jordan (The Crying Game) co-scripted the film with Carter into a loosely structured tale which merges real life with the fantastic imagery of those fairy tales and dreams.

In this post-screening Q&A, The Company of Wolves producer Stephen Woolley discusses how the film was made, working with Angela Carter, his role as a producer, and answers audience questions.

Stephen Woolley is a film producer and director best known for his work with director Neil Jordan, which have resulted in a number of critically acclaimed films including the Oscar-winning, The Crying Game (1992). His directorial debut, Stoned (2005) was a bipopic of Rolling Stones guitarist, Brian Jones.
