Live Performance of The Passion of Joan of Arc at Bristol Beacon in May 2010
Watershed has been a pioneer in developing performance of live music/ film collaborations. We supported musicians Adrian Utley (Portishead) and Will Gregory (Goldfrapp) to create a new score for the classic silent film, ‘The Passion of Joan of Arc’ (Dir: Carl Theodor Dreyer 1928 France). The world première performance, conducted by Charles Hazlewood, took place at Bristol Beacon, and then toured to London Southbank & All Tomorrow’s Parties Alexandra Palace, Krakow Opera House and New York’s Lincoln Center.

As If It Were The Last Time by Duncan Speakman and Sarah Anderson, UKCHINA, Xiamen, 2012
As If It Were The Last Time is a subtlemob by Duncan Speakman and Sarah Anderson. Created in 2009 it is a piece about celebrating the present, about home, belonging and loss. A subtlemob is an invisible flashmob that integrates with the beauty of the everyday world, so only its participants are aware of it. Armed with only an mp3 player it takes audiences on a cinematic experience of twists and turns.
