So much of working in film and TV is a collaborative process but long before anyone can get on set, you need to get yourself a screenplay and writing one can often feel like a lonely process. We don’t always hear from screenwriters and how they work but we all know how crucial good writing is to bring a project to life. In this Lab event, we got into what writing for the screen is actually like, how to find your way into it and beating that dreaded creative block.

Joining us to get into all this and more was Zia Holloway, who has written for a range of formats including animation, live action and the stage. Zia talked to Yero Time-Biu who has written for both the big and small screen, with her decade of experience seeing her work on projects including award-winning short films and TV projects with networks including the BBC and Channel 4.

Yero also discussed her work as a screenwriter in a recent article for us. Give it a read here!
