Our first in-person Hub meeting is happening for the first time in over 2 years, and all members are invited!
This days focus will be on bringing audiences back; also offering space to touch base, explore our upcoming workshop programme, catch up, share lunch together, and preview PLAYGROUND.
We’ll be talking about those audiences we’ve lost, those we’ve gained and what opportunities exist in the sector to encourage them back into our cinemas and screenings.
The event will be taking place at Watershed in Bristol and kicks off with a preview screening of an upcoming theatrical title and some filmmaker shorts, followed by a much-needed networking lunch.
During the afternoon, there will be plenty of opportunities to explore stories and experiences to forge an understanding of the last 24 months.
This year Film Hub South West will be running a programme for exhibitors under the title ‘Strategic Planning in Uncertain Times’ with business development expert, Gill Wildman. This will be a comprehensive series of workshops covering business continuity in the exhibition sector.
We’ll also be showcasing South West exhibitors work during the pandemic, and how their practices have adapted to the ever-changing climate. Alongside this, we’ll be looking to the future with a showcase of titles and discussing how we think we could market these to our audiences, including the emerging talent in the South West area through BFI Network’s short films and Depict Shorts.
If you are able to attend part, or all of the day, we welcome your participation with open arms to come together in person, once more.
Spaces are limited and we encourage you to sign up to book your place as soon as possible.
There will also be a small gathering post-meeting in the Café Bar.
We look forward to seeing you all in person!
