Theo is a writer-director and editor working across film, promo and documentary. I SAW THE BEAST was made through Channel 4’s Random Acts scheme and produced by LODE’s Bex Rose. He gained funding for his short horror, SERVICE, from his screenplay winning the IMDb Script to Screen Award. It then went on to screen at festivals worldwide, including Encounters, Frightfest and BIFAN, before being released by the popular online platform, ALTER.
Bex Rose
Bex is a producer of short films, working across a variety of mediums including drama, documentary, dance and spoken word. Bex works as Watershed’s Digital Content Editor for Rife Magazine and Producer for the BFI Film Academy at Watershed. Bex supports new and emerging filmmakers to develop their creativity and digital skills, helping them tell their stories and find pathways into the creative industries. Bex has been a producer mentor for Random Acts South West and BBC New Creatives, has also worked on the BFI Film Academy at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. Recently Bex produced the BFI Network funded short PICKNEY.
Ben Young
Ben is a producer, writer, and director across fiction and documentary. His long and short form work has premiered and been distributed across festivals and platforms worldwide. He is a member of the Biennale College, Rotterdam Lab, and EAVE.
In addition to LODE, his recent releases include BAD NEWS (dir. Cecilia Stenbom) and HELLO BIG WEIRD. Upcoming films include archive documentary THE WAGES OF JOHN PERNIA and drama LOST ONES (dir. Andrew McVicar), the latter a coproduction with Shudder Films.
