Gabriela Staniszewska

Gabriela is a multi-award winning filmmaker living and working in Bristol, UK. She works primarily in horror, action and sci-fi, with a small local and female-led collective. Her childhood film addictions were influenced by her mother’s tastes – a steady diet of Fred & Ginger musicals, peppered with the then hardcore action movies of Bruce Willis, Mel Gibson and Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Since becoming a mother, Gabriela is now happily diving back into Disney, Ghibli and Don Bluth classics, whilst choosing to explore her newfound identity as a parent and the ever-changing world around her using the only language she can – through film.
