Theatrical venue presenting a range of produced drama, musical and family work as well as a presented programme of drama, music, comedy, children’s theatre, dance, circus. We have recently, with the addition of a new Studio space, been able to start screening wraparound film seasons for our Main Stage produced shows – such as thematically linked films or films by the same writer.
We intend for these films to broaden the audience’s insight into a production and to gain additional content as part of their visit. We’re also planning to screen cultural film festivals such as a Bollywood Film Season which we’ve begun screening this summer in order to develop new audiences.
Outside of our Studio space, we also screen National Theatre and RSC Live productions in our main stage, serving as an additional element to our produced and presented programme of theatre work. Film screenings are programmed as a way of adding value to our live theatre performances.
