Puppet Place

Puppet Place is a hub for puppetry and animation in Bristol. Since 2009 we have run the biennial Bristol Festival of Puppetry: an international celebration of all things animated on stage and screen. We take pride in creating an ambitious and imaginative programme that is accessible to all comers and stretches the boundaries of puppetry and animation.

Outside of the Festival we run a programme of workshops, talks and events for everyone from the complete beginner to the experienced professional. Our building is home to a vibrant community of puppeteers, creative technologists, designers, film and theatre makers, including world renowned companies Pickled Image and Green Ginger. We work in collaboration with local and international partners on all our activities and we are always interested to develop new partnerships and new ways of working
