Sheba Soul Ensemble

We are a Black women’s performance collective – keen to develop our own work and to champion the cause for greater prominence of other BLACK* women performers across disciplines. In June 2019, we delivered FLY! the first ever BLACK* women’s theatre festival. We are planning to deliver FLY! Festival of Black Women’s film – with a focus on new UK shorts produced by Black women and international work produced/directed by Black women unseen in the UK. In March 2020, our focus will be on Canadian Black women and Aboriginal women’s film.

As we perform widely in Bristol and around the UK, we take a dynamic approach to audience development. We have our own data base but use social media, radio and press interviews to extend our message.
