Tate, St Ives

Tate St Ives overlooks the Atlantic Ocean on Porthmeor Beach. It hosts a year-round programme of temporary exhibitions and the Modern Art and St Ives Displays.

Presentation of artist film is a regular part of the exhibition programme through the exhibitions and learning programmes. Gallery 10 showcases artists’ film in relation to themes and connections linked to the temporary exhibitions and the Modern Art and St Ives displays.

Film features as part of artist’s practice and is part of the temporary exhibitions and can feature in the supporting interpretation – for example showing documentary films on the artist or films of live performances. The learning programme includes events such as Film For Friday, Late at Tate and The Last Weekend which feature archive, documentary and artist film, from shorts to feature length film, from regional to international filmmakers.
