The Brewhouse Theatre & Arts Centre

The Brewhouse Theatre & Arts Centre is a multi-art venue in the heart of Somerset’s county town. It is the main arts and cultural centre in Taunton and is a much loved and publicly supported venue. Taunton Theatre Association reopened the venue in April 2014 with a mission to encourage, facilitate and promote excellent arts and cultural activity to enrich the lives of those living, working and visiting the region. Following a crowd fundraising campaign, cinema facilities were installed in the main auditorium in February 2016.

The Brewhouse Cinema has developed quickly and screens a variety of films including live event via satellite, new releases, children’s films, special interest films, retrospective films and sing-a-longs. Our cinema audience has grown quickly and we look forward to further developing our cinema offering to include a greater breadth and variety of films.
