The Cheltenham Trust

The Cheltenham Trust is a charity that enriches the lives of visitors and residents of Cheltenham and beyond through art, heritage, sport and play.

We work hard in the community with our partners to make a positive change to people’s lives, of all ages and backgrounds. From applying for funding for community projects, right through to delivery, our goal is to increase awareness and access to culture, art, heritage, sport, health & wellbeing.

The Wilson Art Gallery and Museum is one of The Cheltenham Trusts venues and is currently trialling a pop up cinema. The Wilson is a mixed arts venue, home to the Cheltenham’s history collection, an extensive Art and Crafts Collection and the Wilson family collection ( Edward Wilson Antarctic explorer). Along side the collections we have three gallery spaces and a community gallery used for internal and touring exhibitions. However more and more we are trying to utilise the spaces for mixed creative projects to support our audience development strategy. From residencies, music events to pop up cinema we are trying hard to programme activities to reach a wider creative audience, particularly focusing on the family and 16-30 age group.
