The Flavel Arts Centre Dartmouth has been open for 14 years and is a charitable trust. It provides a venue for films; live events, including all types of music , theatre, lectures and comedy; Live screenings from Covent Garden, the National Theatre and Royal Shakespeare Company. It also provides the main venue for numerous activities of the U3A and local societies. There are art exhibitions by local artists and schools and it houses the library, meeting rooms and a café. It is run by trustees with a small group of paid staff and over 100 volunteers.
