Fleet Film is a community society based at the civic centre, The Harlington. We screen mainly (80%) foreign language films, twice a month avoiding competition from the panto in December and the sun in June and July.
In addition to the main programme we add Specials (e.g. live musical accompaniment) and a summer Open Air Screening. We started in 2014 and now have over 170 members paying an annual subscription of £45. Our audiences are currently in the range 120 to 160 with an average of 25 visitors per screening who pay £6. Screening is based on DVD with an integrated suite of Seasonal images + Trailers + Short+ Introduction + Feature. Feedback is actively sought from our audience with over 70% response rate of score + comments, then posted on our website. Film selection is made by a team of four, gender balanced but still not age balanced! We are reaching out to our local Sixth Form College.
