Stockbridge Community Cinema is a community organisation that exists to provide screenings of quality contemporary films.
The Wednesday films are mainstream titles, while Friday films are specialist art-house films including foreign language, documentary and ‘recorded live’ events. Stockbridge Community Cinema aims to provide a shared social experience in the local community in a comfortable atmosphere and at a modest cost to encourage and support the appreciation and understanding of film as an art form.
Any surplus is donated in support of Stockbridge community projects. Films are shown at Stockbridge Town Hall in Hampshire twice monthly throughout the year and we also present occasional special events.
Former Moviola partner until 7 years ago, the organisation acquired BFI equipment grant funding for a projector and Stockbridge Town Hall invested in the other equipment needed. This enabled more screening 3 times over 2 days a month.
