Museums Galleries Archives Service at Plymouth City Council

South West Film and Television Archive – SWFTA is the regional film archive for the South West of England.

Established in 1993, the film and television collections include the programme libraries of Westward Television and TSW – Television South West. The archive cares for donated film and video collections, both amateur and professional, dating back to the early 1900s.

SWFTA is part of Plymouth City Council’s Museums Galleries Archives service and integral to the development of The Box, Plymouth – a new cultural and heritage visitor attraction set to open in spring 2020.
