WFSA holds over 22,000 cinefilms and video recordings, and over 16,000 sound recordings. The collection includes items from a variety of sources, each offering a unique insight into the region’s past.
The collection includes Cinefilm relating to the region. It also includes our collections of professional, amateur, and documentary film. There is research, advertising and newsreel films of local interest, from 1897 onwards.
We have sound recordings reflecting life in the area. This includes oral history, local radio, gramophone discs and local music tapes, and digital audio files.
