The Kino Foundation

We run DVMISSION 48 Hour Film Challenge, an annual event in Portsmouth which serves the south coast and Solent area. While we have entries from as far afield as China predominantly those taking part are from the Hampshire region. The event has been running for 13 years and is funded through sponsorship and ticket sales. Our teams annually produce around 20-13 short films and we have around 300 people participate. The event is run by volunteers supported by a few paid professionals who deliver venue and specialist services. In recent years we have started to experiment with staging the awards and premier night as an immersive cinema experience.
