Based in Cornwall, 99p Films’ Alex Fish was able to attend FilmBath in 2024 thanks to Film Hub South West’s travel bursaries for its members.
Thanks to the support of Film Hub South West, I was able to venture out of Cornwall and explore the film and sustainability scene in Bristol, London and Bath
Through the Hub’s travel bursary, I was able to connect with individuals, other filmmakers and potential sponsors and partner organisations that will help us in our franchise expansion to take the 99p social cinema model to other communities across the South West.
We spoke to loads of great people and made some great connections with lots of potential exciting collaborations going forward, along with the reaffirmed validation for what we’re doing and how much it is needed now, both in the social and environmental landscape.
We were glad to have arrived back in Falmouth feeling in a much better position than when we left and inspired and excited to pursue and follow up on all the connections made!
99p Films C.I.C. is a revolutionary community interest cinema that goes beyond traditional film screenings. We create a transformative experience by incorporating mindful breathing, engaging discussions and communal feasts.
