On Thu 16 March from 6pm, BFI NETWORK, Channel 4 and Blak Wave Productions are hosting an inspiring session for new entrants, emerging creatives and career changers based in the South West who are looking to develop and pitch ideas for scripted storytelling.
Our aim is to ensure that women of colour are visible and proportionally represented at all levels in the film and TV industry, so this event is specifically for those who identify as female or non-binary and as someone with a Black, global majority or ethnically diverse background.
At this evening event you can expect:
A small group size for more impactful interactions
Q&A with our TV/film industry guests
Workshop around what makes a great narrative story
Written and visual pitching vs treatments
Live opportunities and networking
Places are FREE but limited, so please make sure you sign up now to reserve your space by visiting the Eventbrite page here.
The event will be held at the Channel 4 Bristol Hub (2nd Floor Fermentation Building, South Hawkins Lane, Finzels Reach, Bristol BS1 6JQ) on Thu 16th March. Arrivals are from 5.30pm with networking and refreshments, then the workshop will start promptly at 6pm and finish at 8pm.
