How much does it cost?<\/strong>\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nIt is free to list your event on Headfirst, and you\u2019ll keep 100% of the face value of your ticket revenue. Customers are charged a small booking fee (around 5%) which is collected automatically by Headfirst during checkout – you won\u2019t need to make any extra payment to them.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
Can I add a sliding scale, e.g. Pay What You Feel or donations to the cost?<\/strong>\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nYes, this can be done at the point of event creation. Events can be free and pay-what-you-like (with or without a set minimum cost).<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
You can also add an optional donation – to yourself, the venue or a charitable organisation.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
Headfirst allows donations to select charities, they have begun exploring other positive impacts Headfirst can have on the city outside of the arts and are extremely proud to have supported local organisations including Caring in Bristol, One25, Bristol Drugs Project, St Paul\u2019s Adventure Playground, Acorn, Shelter, Babbasa and Bridging Communities. Headfirsts\u2019 aim is to raise \u00a320,000 per year for local causes by 2023.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
If your event is raising money for a registered charity, Headfirst will also donate their booking fee proceeds (just email them after your event has happened).\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

How far in advance should I upload an event?<\/strong>\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nOnce you and any partners, guests, and\/or speakers have confirmed event all the details and signed off on copy and images \u2013 add the event to Headfirst!\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
There is a handy option to schedule events in advance of sales, good to use if you wish to make tickets available at a certain date and time.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
We advise to upload no later than 3 weeks ahead of the event date, to generate some interest and allow audiences time to plan their attendance!\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
Headfirst will need to approve your account to sell tickets if it\u2019s your first event (this shouldn\u2019t take more than 24 hours but it\u2019s worth factoring into ticket release schedules).<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
How will it benefit me?<\/strong>\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nYou can reach an audience who may not check individual venues listings and events, but who like to browse \u2018What\u2019s on\u2019.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
Headfirst has a huge audience in the independent arts scene; who regularly check the site, newsletter and app for upcoming events. Many of these customers no longer use or rely on social media for event listings.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
Without a committed cinema listing in newspapers or on their websites (at time of writing), Headfirst is a fantastic platform to profile your work.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n
