Aardman's very first feature-length film sees 'lone free ranger' Rocky the rooster (Mel Gibson) help a gang of plucky chickens led by Ginger (Julia Sawalha) escape from their high security egg farm.

Life on Tweedy's Chicken Farm is already pretty grim: the chickens are badly treated by their owners, and kept alive only for as long as they keep popping out eggs. Ginger's attempts at escape have all failed, but when Rocky crash lands in the farm, she seesthe chance she has been waiting for: can Rocky teach everyone to fly, and lead a mass prisoner-of-war-style breakout? And, more importantly, can they do it before Mrs Tweedy hatches her fowl plan to turn them all into chicken pies?
