iShed was founded by Watershed in 2007 to support early stage ideas across the cultural and commercial creative industries. Set up as a Community Interest Company (CIC), we designed open, exploratory programmes for artists, industry and academia.

Nine years on, this programme of work (which spans everything from the Pervasive Media Studio to Playable City) is known across the world, features a growing community of over 450 collaborators and most importantly has become a core part of Watershed's value and vision. A separate company and website for this activity no longer makes sense.

This site has therefore been archived: You will now find all of our Creative Technology projects (including completed iShed projects) on the Pervasive Media Studio website, and going forward they will be better represented on the Watershed website too.

And iShed CIC has been re-named Watershed Ventures. Ready for the next stage of experimentation and adventure. Bring it on.
