Are you an artist, graduate, or someone at an early stage in their career? Are you interested in the point where creativity, culture and technology meet? Good news – we are delighted to announce two new residency programmes that are now open to applications for those interested in spending some time in the open and collaborative environment of the Pervasive Media Studio.
The first call is for our Studio Artist’s Residencies 2015, a fantastic opportunity for artists based in the UK to explore ideas and to develop their practice.
We have one residency available, most suited to artists seeking time and space to think, share and make new work, and it is open to all art forms. The programme lasts for two months, beginning in June 2015 and is made possible with support from Arts Council England.
Artists can apply as individuals or groups, and will receive a bursary, a facilitated programme produced by Watershed, plus budget to support travel, relocation and production. This is an excellent opportunity to be fully immersed in the development of a project idea whilst becoming part of the inspirational network of practitioners associated with the Pervasive Media Studio.
Offered: 1x two months in residence with £3000 bursary and additional critical and technical support.
Deadline for applications: Thu 23 April 2015 at 17:00.
The second call is for our New and emerging talent residencies 2015.
Here we are looking for three talented and ambitious individuals at an early stage in their professional development who are looking to explore ideas related to creative technology.
If you are in the early stages of your career and have a specific idea or project that you would like to explore and develop with us in residence at the Studio this residency will run from Mon 6 July to Fri 2 Oct 2015.
Offered: 3x three months in residence with £2000 bursaries and additional production and technical support.
Deadline for applications: Tue 5 May 2015 at 17:00.
Verity McIntosh, Pervasive Media Studio Producer, says:
"We are very happy to be able to offer these two residency programmes side by side; allowing brilliant people at different stages of their development to choose the opportunity that suits them best when applying to join us in the Studio. The Pervasive Media Studio is a fantastic place to take risks, to explore the things you don’t fully understand yet, to get something off the ground and to develop your thinking. We are very much looking forward to hearing your ideas – get in touch!"
Further information and application details for both residency programmes can be found on our Opportunities page.
