Watershed welcomes Film4’s FrightFest, the UK’s best horror and fantasy film festival, on Fri 4 Nov, when it brings its critically acclaimed midnight madness to Bristol for the first time ever.
Featuring five UK premieres over one very intense all nighter, this is horror as the gods of cinema intended: as a multiple bill, in a dark room surrounded byother enthusiastic film fans. With music, projections, drinks, plenty of coffee, short films courtesy of Encounters Short Film Festival and even a bloody breakfast at Watershed’s Café/bar to keep you going, this is bound to be a night to remember. The question is: can you handle all five?
We are delighted to confirm that Tom Six’s controversial sequel to the Human Centipede (which was initially banned by the BBFC) will be the surprise title at this first FrightFest Bristol all-nighter. Fans of the genre are in for a fun-filled, stomach churning, seat squirming treat.
Tom Six, director of the Human Centipede 2 said:
“I am insanely happy I can now show my beautiful deformed baby to the Frightfest audience at Watershed. Thank you BBFC.”
Mark Cosgrove, Head of Programme commented:
"We’re disgustingly delighted to be hosting FrightFest for the first time ever. The films really are surprising, shocking, satirical, sobering and sensational. Horror movies rarely come as controversial as the Human Centipede 2 and we’ll have to see what our audience makes of it".
We’ll be serving a Bloody cooked breakfast (veggie and meat options) from 7am onwards – so strong-stomached customers can book a Bloody Breakfast in advance and receive a complimentary Bloody Mary (or coffee/tea).
Tickets for the all-nighter cost £30.00 full /£25.00 concs. Tickets for the advanced breakfast offer are £6.95 - get yours now by calling Box Office on 0117 927 5100.
