Hi everyone,

Happy New Year! We are back open after our Christmas break, feeling refreshed and looking forward to seeing some friendly faces again.

Watershed will continue to be a safe place to visit and spend time in. If you haven’t visited us for a while, we wanted to remind you about what we’re doing to keep you and our staff protected (if there are any future changes to Government guidance, we will adapt accordingly):

• All our staff now wear FFP2 face coverings - these masks help reduce the risk of infection from Covid to 0.1%
   
• All staff are asked to test regularly, and follow social distancing guidelines. We kindly ask our customers and audiences to take a lateral flow test before visiting us.
   
• The capacity in the cinemas is 75% (we continue to offer 25% Socially Distanced and Relaxed screenings too). Relaxed and 25% Socially Distanced screenings are highlighted on film pages and you can filter on our calendar.
   
• Our cinemas are very well ventilated. Watershed is following REHVA’s guide ‘How to operate HVAC and other building service systems to prevent the spread of the coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) disease (COVID-19) in workplaces’. The cinemas use an air conditioning system that brings in fresh air from the rooftop. The air doesn’t move between the 3 screens. No air is recirculated, meaning the air that is pumped into the cinemas is 100% new air (that has been brought up to the correct temperature). The Café & Bar windows are opened hourly. 
   
• We have brought back table service only in the Café & Bar - you can order food and drink by following the instructions on your table, or speaking to a member of staff
   
• We continue to offer touch free booking, contactless payments, hand sanitiser throughout the building, and an increased and enhanced cleaning regime

If you prefer to meet friends and family outside, remember Undershed, our bar on the Harbourside walkway, is open from Wednesday to Sunday. If you're trying out Veganuary this year there are loads of vegan dishes to try at Undershed and in the Café & Bar (crispy oyster mushrooms, spinach and lentil dhal or katsu curry, anyone?).
