Shoppers can head to the harbour this Christmas for a vibrant, locally focused alternative to the high street. With a host of amazing artisan stalls and a gift wrapping station, as well as local artists (including works from Upfest Gallery), performers and gourmet chefs, the market promises to be a one-stop shop for all things Christmassy. There will even be a pop-up bar courtesy of Harbourside No.1, serving delicious hot cocktails, mulled wine and merry ales.

We're particularly proud to present the first Watershed Collective stall where some of our talented staff from different departments will be showcasing their handy work. Expect prints and paintings, books, jewellery, knitted creations and some super Christmas tree decorations. Viv (aka Viva La Hen!) will be there with her signature candy-coloured Day of The Dead inspired artwork as well as Laura Humpage from Box Office with some festive laser-cut decorations.

"We've all been busy creating some lovely gifts for our stall at the market. I've particularly enjoyed working with my husband in ICT to create some crafty Christmas snowflakes using a laser cutter."

Roseanna Dias, Communications Assistant explains:

"When we heard the Harbourside Christmas market was going to be happening just a few steps away, we were really keen to get involved as lots of us enjoy making art and crafts at home. We're very excited to be launching the Watershed Collective, a group of us who want to showcase our work and share skills."

Market manager James Coomber says:

"The Harbourside Christmas market will provide a vibrant, locally focused alternative for shoppers. The harbourside will be a really magical place to be this Christmas with the Spiegeltent, the ice-rink, and Watershed's Christmas film screenings adding to the festive atmosphere. Now all we need is some snow!"

It's the perfect opportunity to soak up the bustling atmosphere of what promises to be one of Bristol's best independent Christmas markets and a showcase of local talent that's not to be missed.

The Harbourside Christmas market will be open Thu 12 - Sun 15 Dec and Thu 19 - Sun 22 Dec in the old Chicago Rock unit next to The Stable (underneath Watershed). Opening hours are 10:00 - 20:00 on Thursdays and Fridays and 11:00 - 18:00 on Saturdays and Sundays.
