The Summer Menu has arrived!

We don't want to jinx anything, but it seems like Summer has finally arrived after weeks of relentless rain. Our Executive Chef Oliver Pratt and his team are waving goodbye to the dreary weather and saluting the glories of the sun with a new Summer menu stuffed full of fresh, light, summery seasonal treats.

We don't want to jinx anything, but it seems like Summer has finally arrived after weeks of relentless rain. Our Executive Chef Oliver Pratt and his team are waving goodbye to the dreary weather and saluting the glories of the sun with a new Summer menu stuffed full of fresh, light, summery seasonal treats.

Oliver has been inspired by international street food for some of the new dishes, bringing you the tastes of the Mediterranean and countries further afield: travels in Thailand gave rise to the spicy mini crab and coriander cakes, while the falafels served with raita nod to Egypt and the Middle East. Closer to home the aubergine and goats cheese salad and the vegetarian baguette fillings, mozzarella and beef tomato and avocado and olive tapenade, tip their hats to the sunny shores of Italy.

Oliver explains his thinking behind the new Summer menu:

"This is food that is designed to be enjoyed at leisure in the Café/Bar, cooked with care and passion. Our daily specials board will also feature vegetarian and meat salads that make the most of some of the freshest summer produce around."

Our homemade desserts have also had a summery makeover, with perennial favourite Shed Mess making a welcome return alongside devilishly tasty Raspberry and Chocolate Tart and homemade ice cream and sorbet.

Don't forget our homemade cakes, tarts and flapjacks which are available every day. For some time now Oliver has been behind a bit of a baking revolution in the kitchen, his simple intention: to bake all of our own cakes (not to mention savoury pastry and bread).

Our baking superstar arrived in the form of our amazing pastry chef Sara Contreras, whose natural talent has shone through from day one. Sara created all 300 of the multicoloured cupcakes created for our 30th birthday, and comes up with new and exciting cake creations (many of which are vegan or wheat/gluten/dairy free) every week - check back to see what's available daily. Of course, the perfect summer accessory is a glass of Pimms, which we'll be serving in the Café/Bar to help you cool down. Equally refreshing is our English rosé and vegan sparkling wine from Argentina, bursting with fresh stone fruit flavours that perfectly complement your meal.
