Bill set up Reel Solutions in 2006 to pursue his passion for supporting all forms of cinema. With colleagues, he recently launched the Manchester Animation Festival. He programmes for Cambridge Film Festival among others and is on the boards of Creative England and the Media Centre, Huddersfield. He was Creative Director at Showroom Cinema, Sheffield and Head of Film at the National Museum of Photography, Film & Television. He set up three of the city’s film festivals and in 2006 was one of the key people to set up  Bradford: City of Film achieving the UNESCO designation in 2009.
