On Sat 1 Feb 2020 our cinema ticket prices are increasing for the first time in two years. We will continue to keep our pricing structure as simple and straightforward as it has been for many years, with no weekend peak pricing, no hidden charges for booking online or by phone, and ensuring that concession tickets and the Under 24 ticket price are available as standard for every screening, including weekends.

Pricing is one part of how we can continue to offer value and inclusion whilst ensuring economic sustainability and it can be challenging to find a balance between these sometimes conflicting aims.

From Sat 1 Feb our admission prices will be:

• Screenings after 16:00: £11.00 full / £8.50 concessions.
• Screenings before 16:00: £8.50 full / £5.00 concessions.
• Aged 24 or under? You can see any screening at any time for £5.00
• Refugees and asylum seekers can also see any screening at any time for £5.00
• Free tickets are available for Personal Assistants accompanying customers who are Deaf / Disabled.

Our free  Loyalty Card is open to everyone – card holders earn points towards free tickets on every film. For every pound you spend on cinema tickets, we will add 10 points to your account.

You’ll notice we have films in our programme from 1 Feb onwards on sale at our current prices. If you book for any of these events before the evening of Fri 31 Jan you will save a little money – after that the ticket prices will increase in line with the above.

As a social enterprise and registered charity all our income is reinvested into the cultural programme and the development of the organisation.

Our aim is to continue to celebrate and champion the diversity of world and cultural cinema and ensure we stay inclusive and accessible for all – here’s a few words from Mark Cosgrove, our Cinema Curator, that captures our approach:

“It’s easy to think that cinema is only about films from Hollywood however there are many different kinds of filmmaking and films from around the world which struggle to find screen space in the UK. At Watershed we want to platform the diversity of film culture and to provide Bristol audiences with opportunities to engage with the wider world of film. This year already we have presented a rare opportunity to see Russian musicals, we're about to host Slapstick Film Festival and screen a selection of Japanese films in partnership with Japan Foundation.”

Thanks to the support of you, our audiences, we will continue to present an inspiring, diverse film programme that brings audiences, from all walks of life, together, to experience, share and debate, in a relaxed, open environment.
