In this week's Lunchtime Talk, Dr. Furaha Asani (she/her) Pervasive Media Studio's Research Lead, will be sharing some learnings that emerged from the workshop series, Alternative Technologies: A Just Transition.
Dr. Asani will discuss water and its various roles in our lives and histories, climate action and its intersection with creative technologies, and methodologies for co-creating caring communities of practice. Focusing on this work between herself, Dr. Erinma Ochu, Wallscourt Associate Professor in Immersive Media UWE, and Jo Lansdowne, Pervasive Media Studio's Executive Producer.

About Dr. Furaha Asani
Furaha Asani (she/her) is Pervasive Media Studio's Research Lead, looking after a brilliant small team of three creative producers and action researchers, and project co-managing Watershed's delivery on various past and present programmes including MyWorld, Bristol+Bath Creative R+D, Connecting Through Culture As We Age, and Alternative Technologies: A Just Transition. Furaha is a researcher, writer, and teacher, and is passionate about responsible R&D, healthcare equity, migrants' rights, the art of the memoir, and science in pop culture.
