Fall in love with the magic of the movies as the gold curtains draw open at one of the oldest running cinema venues in the country, Clevedon’s Curzon Cinema & Arts.
A short trip from Bristol, the seaside town of Clevedon is home to a unique single screen picture palace. Originally opened in 1912, rebuilt in the 1920s and still in operation as a cinema today, Curzon Cinema & Arts has a rich history and grand tradition of cinema-going as an event. The afternoon includes a guided tour of the cinema building with a behind the scenes look at the original projection booth, a demonstration of the original Christie cinema organ and light lunch followed by a screening in the stunning auditorium of John Schlesinger’s A Kind of Loving. The trip offers a unique opportunity to experience movie-going at one of Britain’s oldest and grandest cinemas.
