The Link, Rife Magazine's free networking event for young creative people aged between 16 and 24, is back. And this time, we’re celebrating the BFI Black Star season.
On Mon 28 Nov, before a screening of Noel Clarke’s acclaimed film Adulthood (20:45), we’re hosting another fun, friendly and informal networking session - for you! And one of the stars of Adulthood - the excellent Shanika Warren-Markland - is coming along to do a talk about how she got into acting, her top tips for breaking into the film industry, and diversity — is it getting better in the arts?
The Link is FREE. There will be refreshments, there will be lots of creatives to mingle with and there will be lots of new people to meet. So whether you are photographer, filmmaker, artist, illustrator, writer, blogger or just intersted in lots of different things, The Link is the perfect space for you to widen your creative network of fellow talent - from the ones just starting out, to those at the top of their game and everyone in between.
If you'd like to come along, let us know by emailing Roseanna on roseanna.dias@watershed.co.uk and if you're working on a project and looking for a particular collaborator, let us know and we'll try to match you up before you arrive. And remember to get your tickets and join us and Shanika for a special screening of Adulthood after The Link. Cinema tickets cost just £4.50 for people aged 24 or under.
