In the small New England community of Eastwick, three women wanting more out of life discover their own power when a charming new man arrives in town and begins stirring up trouble.
Widowed sculptor Alexandra (Cher), divorced reporter Sukie (Michelle Pfeiffer), and divorced music teacher Jane (Susan Sarandon) are lifelong friends. Bored by their routines and dissatisfied with the men in town, the trio half-jokingly intone the characteristics of their ideal man, inadvertently summoning the conspicuously named millionaire Daryl van Horne (Jack Nicholson). Seducing them with his mystery, lust, and charisma, he buys Eastwick's most historic home and turns it into their adult playpen. But when a neighbour who disapproves of Van Horne is struck down by a curse, Alexandra, Jane, and Sukie have second thoughts about their temperamental new boyfriend…
