How text donations work, protecting your data & privacy and our contact details
Thank you for helping Watershed and RIFE with a donation by text. Here are our terms and conditions, outlining how our text donations work.
- Texts include the cost of your donation plus your standard network rate.
- Your donation will be added to your next phone bill or taken from your pay-as-you-go credit, plus your standard network rate.
- Watershed receives 95% of your donation as we must pay a fee to use this SMS service (we use Donr to process our text donations).
- You must obtain permission from the bill payer before sending a text message. If you are under 16 years old, you must have your parent or guardian's permission before signing up to
our campaigns.
Keeping in touch with you
Watershed may occasionally contact you via SMS to tell you more about the impact of your gift, and the work Watershed and RIFE are doing to help young voices be heard.

Data protection & privacy
- Watershed is committed to protecting your personal information and being transparent about what information we hold about you, and how we use it.
- We process our text donations through Donr. By donating by text you are subject to Donr’s Privacy Policy.
- Donr will share your information with Watershed (your phone number and donation amount), which we’ll securely store on our servers. We’ll only use this information for analysis of our donation campaigns and to contact you with occasional updates about our work (unless you contact us to opt out of these communications).
- As a registered charity using personal information in this way allows us to provide our supporters with relevant and timely information about the work that we do and to develop a better understanding of our audiences.
