Featuring one of Liza Minnelli’s standout roles, Cabaret dives into the mysterious nightlife of 1930’s Germany at the infamous Kit Kat Klub.
The eccentric singer Sally Bowles meets the naïve Brian Roberts when he moves to Berlin to complete his studies, and is determined to ‘fix’ his previous failed attempts at dating women. When the devilishly decadent and wealthy Baron Maximillian von Heune comes to town, the three become increasingly involved in a love triangle, throwing off the trappings of conventional sexuality and relationships.
Watched over by the slightly menacing Master of Ceremonies Cabaret keeps the party going at all costs, with its soundtrack providing the backdrop for both character drama and the rise of the Nazi party in a delicate balance.
