A fascinating glimpse at a series of British silent comedies from the British Film Institute depicting attitudes towards the suffragette movement and revealing how suffragettes were portrayed in film comedy in the early part of the twentieth century. Andrew Kelly (Festival Of Ideas) facilitates the discussion and panel award-winning journalist Samira Ahmed (Radio 4, Front Row) and stand-up comedian Lucy Porter form the panel.
In collaboration with Bristol Festival of Ideas.
