Join us for an evening of rarely seen silent comedies in Bristol’s magnificent cathedral as we celebrate the outstanding leading women in some of the funniest on-screen examples from the golden age of silent comedy.
Comedian and writer Shappi Khorsandi hosts this fascinating evening of celebration and discovery with a series of short films from silent screen comedy deities including Mabel Normand, Louise Fazenda, Dorothy Devore and Gale Henry.
Expect an special night of restored films on the big screen with a live audience, in an extraordinary setting, alongside live musical accompaniment from the European Silent Screen Virtuosi featuring Guenter A. Buchwald, Frank Bockius and Romano Todesco.
