Jennifer Hudson leads a star-studded cast in this new biopic about the Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin.

Respect focuses on music legend Aretha Franklin’s (played by an outstanding Jennifer Hudson, who was hand picked for the role by Franklin before she died) remarkable life over a formative 20-year span, from young Aretha dealing with trauma and tragedy in her childhood, to the grown-up singer navigating her own personal demons whilst rocketing to international stardom in the 1960s and early 1970s.

With a packed supporting cast (including Mary J. Blige, Forest Whitaker and Marc Maron) and filled with iconic songs, Respect is a remarkable true story of a music icon’s journey to find her voice.
