Encounters Presents: The British Animation Awards 2022

For the first time The British Animation Awards (the BAAs) have partnered with Encounters to present a selection of short films and a live stream from the awards ceremony at the BFI Southbank, London.
Presented by comedian Miles Jupp and headline sponsored by Hanna-Barbera Studios Europe, the ceremony will unveil the latest names to join the list of illustrious winners from past years which includes Nick Park, Joanna Quinn, Tim Burton, Martin Freeman, Simon Tofield and Gorillaz.
Prior to the stream, Encounters will present a screening of thought-provoking, bold, and visionary animated short films. This programme celebrates the award-winning works recognised by the British Animation Awards, which have screened at the festival over the last twelve years and features:
