Blue is a compelling philosophical study of a young woman (superbly portrayed by Binoche) whose husband and son die in a car crash. She retreats to an anonymous existence only to be drawn back into her past by her husband's unfinished music and an unfinished affair. Slowly Julie learns to live again, as music and the gift of creativity prove to be healing forces.

Blue - was the first in Krzysztof Kieslowski's Three Colours Trilogy - it was an immediate success, winning the top prizes at the 1993 Venice Film Festival and unanimous praise from critics and audiences the world over.
