Faded actor Bob Harris (Murray), is in Tokyo to film an inane whisky advert. He meets Charlotte (Scarlett Johansson), a lonely wife drifting apart from her photographer husband. These two lost souls find an unexpected and meaningful connection over a few days together, exploring the unfamiliar city.
Coppola’s dreamlike, melancholic mood, combined with Murray’s deadpan humour and the unique chemistry between the actors, make Lost in Translation a modern classic.
