Twenty seven years after his graduate film Shot Down was banned from his home country (the apartheid-era regime said it had "no artistic merit whatsoever") and went on to achieve cult status, writer/director Andrew Worsdale returns with this noir romance set among South Africa's marginalised white underclass. Inspired by a real-life killer couple, this road movie charts the doomed romance of its two protagonists: prostitute Joline (Cara Roberts) and minor hoodlum Piet (Brandon Auret), whose stormy relationship soon progresses into drug dealing, robbery, and murder.
